Natural Consequences

Don't you just love natural consequences? We have been passing all kinds of winter bugs. Josh has been running a fever for a few days. Everyone has been sleeping in my room so we can share the vaporizer. Last night Josh left a full cup of water sitting in a large metal bowl. This afternoon, Josh and AJ were supposed to be napping. As usual, AJ was fighting sleep, and was playing instead. At one point he ended up rolling off his cot and playing with the large metal bowl. Just as I turned to look at him, he tipped it back and got the full cup of water in the face. I wanted to die laughing, but instead I just said something like, "Wouldn't have happened if you had been in your bed where you belong. Huh?" Of course when he ran to the bathroom to dry off I collapsed. Sometimes the natural consequences our children face are really hard to watch, but sometimes it is quite amusing! Needless to say, he came back and went right to sleep.
